RSI’S BARBARA CARSON CELEBRATES 25 YEARS
April 11, 2022 – Refrigerated Specialist Inc. (RSI) Accounts Payable, Barbara Carson, celebrated her 25th anniversary with RSI on April 1. Having started in 1997, Carson has been an integral part of RSI’s success throughout the company’s growth.
“I truly appreciate the opportunity to work for RSI and grow with the company that has now quadrupled in size and added two new companies: CES & Sani Servant,” Carson said.
Carson began her career at RSI as the receptionist. She would answer the phones, take service calls, and manually enter technician invoices – which were all handwritten. When the accounts payable position opened up a year or so later, she went to Marvin Hester to ask if she could try it out. He agreed and she immediately started her new position.
As someone who is a multitasker and loves to stay busy, she began to take on other roles in addition to her accounts payable duties such as the install department assistant. From there, she also started handling uniforms, vehicle stuff and ordering office supplies. When CES began, she even took on the CES accounts payable and receivable duties. She did this until CES grew so busy that more people were hired.
“What I like the best about my job is being able to interact with our wonderful RSI work family and our vendors,” Carson said. “I get chances daily to visit with several employees, whether they are office employees, technicians, or installers.“
When not at RSI, Carson enjoys spending time with family, going to church, to the beach, and on a cruise every chance she gets.
