Growth opportunities
The opportunity for growth is what separates a job from a career. As Dallas-Fort Worth continues to expand, there is a constant need for refrigeration in day-to-day operations for many businesses. As a result, our company is rapidly growing. We have many opportunities, through training and promotions, for our team to grow in their career at RSI.
On-going paid training and certifications
As the industry advances, we offer our teams on-going paid training to advance their craft. Our techs receive a range of relevant training including in-house, factory and CFESA training. These trainings help our techs keep up with industry certifications as well as the latest equipment and technology in the field.
Competitive industry pay
In addition to continuous training and opportunities for growth, we can offer competitive industry pay. According to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median salary for a refrigeration tech is $57,300 per year. However, top earning techs can even exceed salaries of $100,000 per year.

3. Great industry
Commercial refrigeration is a great industry to start a career in because of its high demand. The constant need for refrigeration leads to a high demand for skilled techs to keep it up and running. This is especially so in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Stable employment
As long as businesses have commercial refrigeration equipment, they will need professionals to service and maintain that equipment. Since we have a constant stream of business year-round, our teams can always count on having full-time work no matter the season. Additionally, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in the field is projected to grow 9 percent from 2023 to 2033, which is much faster than the average for all occupations.
Little to no student loan debt
A successful, well-paying career does not require racking up thousands of dollars in student loan debt. Many of our techs have learned everything they know through on-the-job training. USG even offers “Training Unlimited” which is an eight-week program designed to equip new technicians with fundamental skills. But, for those who want to get a degree, we offer tuition reimbursement for job related courses. Additionally, associations, like CFESA, offer scholarships that are exclusive to this industry to go towards education and training.
